      The only other book I've read of this author was Sarah's Key, a novel I loved. Pity the poor reader who uses that novel as a means of deciding whether to read another of hers, like I did. This book is about a writer, VERY self-absorbed who writes a huge international successful novel about his family's secret/5. L.A. Times Festival of Books Rescheduled. In light of public health concerns related to the coronavirus and out of an abundance of caution, the Los Angeles Times is postponing the Festival of Books and Food Bowl events, originally scheduled for this April and May, respectively.

        The first is a new twist on the famous music with original routines performed by singers, dancers, acrobats and drummers, while the other is an original creation celebrating “The Jungle Book” with new parade floats, music and favorite Disney characters. The novel coronavirus is taking a toll on literary and bookstore events around Southern California with the Literary Orange festival canceling its daylong event in April and booksellers canceling.

      Today, I should have been reading from my work at the John O'Groats Book Festival. But like all such events it has had to be postponed. Instead, like many other writers, artists and musicians, I have been sharing my work online.
